Connect with AI (MCP)
Connect an AI assistant to USSDK to build, test, and manage your USSD applications.
USSDK's Model Context Protocol (MCP) server lets an AI assistant work with your applications. You can ask it to create a USSD flow, configure hooks, test a journey, or investigate session logs using your USSDK account.
For help adding an MCP server to your AI client, follow its official setup guide:
- Codex: CLI setup or desktop app setup.
- Claude: Claude Code CLI setup or Claude Desktop setup.
Connect to USSDK
Use an AI client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth authentication.
-
Open your client's MCP server or connection settings and add a remote server named USSDK.
-
Enter this server URL:
https://app.ussdk.me/mcp -
Connect and sign in to your USSDK account in the authorization window.
-
Review the requested permissions and authorize the connection.
-
Ask your assistant: “List my USSDK applications.”
The connection covers all applications you can access, including applications you create or join later. Each action is still limited by your permissions in the selected application and the OAuth scopes you approved. You can connect before creating your first application.
You can revoke a connection from MCP connections. Connections can renew access automatically for up to 30 days, after which you need to authorize again.
Example prompts
Describe what you want to build or change. When working on an existing application, include its name in your request.
Create an application
Create a USSD application in USSDK called “Event Registration” with a welcome menu and steps to collect a name and phone number. Test the registration flow.
Update a flow
In my “Customer Survey” app on USSDK, add a menu asking customers to rate their experience from 1 to 5, then thank them for their feedback.
Duplicate an application
Duplicate “Event Registration” in USSDK as “Workshop Registration” and update the welcome message to mention the workshop.
Test a journey
Walk through the registration flow in my “Event Registration” app on USSDK and check for any steps that leave users stuck.
Understand usage
Show recent sessions for “Event Registration” on USSDK and help me understand where users are dropping out.
